Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe), oolong tea
A legendary and elite heavily oxidized rock Oolong tea from China's Wuyi Mountains. Renowned for its rich, smoky-woody profile, velvety texture, and a profoundly sweet, long-lasting finish. A premium warming tea that can be re-steeped up to 5 times.
Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) represents one of the most legendary, highly revered, and historically prestigious cliff Oolong teas in the world. This regal blend is sourced from the sheer, mist-shrouded cliffs of the UNESCO-protected Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. It is defined by a high level of oxidation and a slow, traditional charcoal-roasting process, transforming each elongated leaf into a deeply complex flavor masterpiece.
The liquor boasts an exceptionally rich, robust, and multi-layered flavor bouquet. Initial heavy notes of smoky wood, roasted nuts, and dark cacao gracefully evolve on the palate, transitioning into a warm, aristocratic, and sweet honey-like finish. Celebrated for its unique "cliff resonance" (Yan Yun), Da Hong Pao provides deep meditative calm balanced with an uplifting, clean mental clarity. Due to the incredible resilience and premium grade of the leaves, it unfolds magnificently over multiple consecutive infusions.
