Matcha tea
Matcha is a high-quality Japanese green tea powder. Before harvesting, the tea bushes are shaded, limiting sunlight by up to 95%. This slows down the growth of the leaves, promoting a more concentrated production of amino acids (L-theanine) and giving the tea a natural sweetness. After harvesting, the leaves are cleaned of veins and stalks, and then ground in a granite mill into an ultra-fine powder.
