This exceptional tea comes directly from a family farm in the prestigious Uji region of Japan. The tea leaves are carefully hand-selected, steamed, rolled, and expertly roasted to perfection before being traditionally stone-ground into a fine, micro-milled powder.

The distinctive roasting process develops a wonderfully smooth, naturally sweet profile featuring rich notes of toasted nuts and dark cocoa (chocolate), completely eliminating the typical bitterness of standard green tea. Brewing Guide:

  • Traditional Hojicha Tea: Use 1/2 tsp of powder per 100 ml of water. Maroon water and let it cool for about 4 minutes to 60–70 °C, then whisk or stir thoroughly until smooth.

  • Delicious Hojicha Latte: Use a double portion of powder (approx. 1 tsp) for 70 ml of warm water (60–70 °C), stir or shake well, and top up with 200 ml of warm, frothed milk of your choice (dairy or plant-based).

  • Quick tip: For an easy on-the-go brew, simply toss the hojicha powder into a travel mug filled with warm water or milk and shake vigorously!
