Since 1996
The story of Kafijas Pupiņa began in 1996 in Riga. From the very first days, the company specialized in selling coffee and tea, with coffee always remaining our primary focus.
It all started as a small specialty shop: we imported coffee in small batches, introduced Latvian residents to varieties from around the world, and helped every customer find a taste they loved. This personalized approach remains a core part of our work today.

2012
A New Stage of Development
In 2012, the company acquired a new owner who saw the potential for further growth, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Kafijas Pupiņa.
We began actively expanding: launched a modern website, broadened our product range, and started online sales and customer service across all of Latvia.
2016
In-House Roasting
One of our most significant milestones was acquiring our own coffee roasting equipment in 2016. This allowed us to control the entire process — from selecting green beans to the final cup. Initially roasted in Riga, our production is now located in Mārupe.
Every coffee variety is unique, which is why we tailor a specific roasting profile for each bean type — aiming to unlock its finest qualities without altering its true character.
2017
Expanding into Tea
In 2017, we began developing our tea line, perfectly complementing our core coffee offerings.
Today, our selection ranges from classic Earl Grey to rare premium teas, including Japanese Gyokuro Asahi, and we are also developing our own proprietary tea brand, Tamio.

Today, Kafijas Pupiņa is a company with experience dating back to 1996, featuring its own coffee roastery and an extensive selection of teas.
We work with individual retail clients, offices, cafes, restaurants, and business partners. Our coffee and tea can be found in venues across Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, and we deliver orders throughout the entire Baltic region.
